Letter: Big vehicles breaking beach road rules

After Hurricane Sally, the road on the National Seashore (399) that runs from Navarre Beach to Pensacola Beach was closed for months.

When it finally opened, the speed limit was clearly marked at 25 mph (and 15 mph in some places) because of the remaining damage to the road and because some lanes were only partially open.

Local church using retired tradespeople on new construction

Navarre First Assembly of God (navarre1st.com) is soon to begin construction of a new facility on their current site, and the way it will be built is remarkable.

A team of retired tradespeople in their personal RVs will camp on the church grounds and perform much of the work.
