01/19 – A Groovy 70s Party

St Sylvester Catholic Church 6464 Gulf Breeze Pkwy., Gulf Breeze 2 to 4 p.m.

All Snowbirds and Wintertime Guests are invited to grab your love beads, your old forty-fives and dust off your bell bottoms for “A Groovy 70s Party” that jives! Boogie on down to St Sylvester Catholic Church, 6464 Gulf Breeze Parkway to experience all that Navarre Beach and Santa Rosa County has to offer! There will be plenty of vendors giving away free goodies, along with fun, music, games, prizes and more! Food and beverages will be provided by many of the wonderful local eateries in the Navarre Beach area.

02/04 – Navarre Krewe of Jesters Mardi Gras Ball

St. Sylvester Parrish Hall (6464 Gulf Breeze Pkwy. Gulf Breeze, FL 32563). 6-11 p.m.

The theme of the ball and the parade is “Music Through the Decades”. The ball is a formal affair, so get out your tuxedos and formal dresses for our yearly Black Tie event. You don’t have to be a Jester or a member of any other Krewe to attend. The public is invited to celebrate with us.
The party is still BYOB, so bring your own liquor.  We will provide mixers. It is NOT a masquerade ball or a costume ball, but it is formal. If you choose to dress up to fit the “Music Through the Decades” theme, we’d love to see what you come up with.

Tickets are $40 each.  They are available in advance or at the door. A table for eight (8) is $320. Tickets can be purchased from any Jester, or by emailing us at contact@nkoj.org.

02/17 – AARP Tax-Aide

Navarre Library (8484 James M. Harvell Rd., Navarre) 9 a.m. to 1p.m.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides tax assistance to anyone, free of charge, with a focus on taxpayers who are over 50 and have low to moderate income. Tax-Aide volunteers are located nationwide and are trained and IRS-certified every year to make sure they know about and understand the latest changes and additions to the tax code.

02/18 – Community CPR and First-Aid Course

Santa Rosa County Emergency Management (4499 Pine Forest Rd., Milton) 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This a combination CPR/AED and First-Aid course.  This training is designed to prepare a bystander to be able to provide effective CPR and First-Aid care in the event of an emergency. Certification is from American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) and is valid for 2 years. This is not a Professional Care Level course. The trainings tend to fill up fast, so sign up today!

02/20 – HONEYBEES – WE NEED THEM

The Navarre Garden Club will be hosting HONEYBEES – WE NEED THEM by Greg Strickland. Greg is a member of the Barrineau Park Beekeepers Association, will be discussing how to keep bees and what plants we could add to our gardens to entice and feed the bees. 03/02 – LabARTory

LabARTory is a free event hosted by the Navarre Library (8484 James M Harvell Rd) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. This is a drop-in program and is open to all ages. Draw, paint, make jewelry, and more. Choose your own project and experiment with different mediums.

03/09 – Special Needs Moms Lunch

Special Needs Moms Lunch hosted by Emerald Coast Exceptional Families in Gulf Breeze. Enjoy a beautiful view and conversation. Admission is free, and appetizers will be provided. Game Day Saturdays! is a free event hosted by the Gulf Breeze Library at 1060 Shoreline Drive. Enjoy playing board games? Drop by, hang out, and play a game with friends at the library! A variety of board games will be available for children, teens, and adults; you can also bring a game from home.

03/14 – Movie Time Tuesdays

Movie Time Tuesdays hosted by the Navarre Library at 8484 James M. Harvell Road. Join in the fun and see a free movie at the library! This month’s movie is How to Train Your Dragon (rated PG). Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Navarre Library.

03/18 – Gumbo Cook-Off

Gumbo Cook-Off hosted at the Gulf Breeze Recreation Center at 800 Shoreline Drive. This event includes samples of gumbo, a silent auction, raffle tickets, live music, and more! Tickets are $10 in advance, and all proceeds go toward the Rotary Club of Gulf Breeze’s college scholarship fund.

03/19 – Spring Jam

Spring Jam featuring Mat Stell, Shane Profitt, and Ian Flanigan hosted at Navarre Beach at 1451 Navarre Beach Boulevard. General admission is $10 and there will be food and beverages on site. Bring a beach towel and some friends for some good entertainment.

03/24 – Meet the Farmer (Navarre)

Meet the Farmer hosted by the Navarre Library at 8484 James M. Harvell Road. Celebrate National Agriculture week, by joining Trent Matthews from the Soil & Conservation Department for Meet the Farmer. Explore a tractor and learn more about what farmers do!

6/03,10 – Bands on the Blackwater Spring Concert Series

5158 Willing St., Milton, 7 to 9 p.m.

6/23, 30 – Tunes by the Dunes Summer Concert Series

Tunes by the Dunes is a free summer concert series held on Thursday evenings. Enjoy a relaxing evening for live local music and food vendors. 7/11-15, 18-22 – Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge 2022 Summer Camps

3051 Cloptons Circle, Navarre. Nature-loving kids ages 8-13 are invited to join Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge for week-long or single-day summer camps. Children will learn a hands-on, STEAM and inquiry-based curriculum that encourages investigation and lasting learning experiences. 7/13 – Full Moon Beach Yoga with Navarre Beach Yoga Studio

8579 Gulf Blvd. Navarre Beach. 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. Join Navarre Beach Yoga Studio on Navarre Beach directly beside the Fishing Pier to experience a combination of yoga, healing quartz crystal sand, sounds of the sea and the Full Moon energy. This gentle practice focuses on unplugging and turning inward which results in balancing your energy, feeling rejuvenated, replenished, and restored. There is no charge for this service, but we are asking for cash love offerings. Love offerings will be donated to the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center. Bring a sheet/blanket for your yoga practice, a long sleeve shirt or jacket depending on the time of year, water in a reusable bottle and anything else that is going to help you enjoy your experience. 7/16, 30 – Clear bottom kayak tours

7/2, 16 – Highway 87 Outdoor Market

Highway 87 Outdoor Market at Pik-itz located at 1922 State Road 87, Navarre from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This bi-weekly outdoor market takes place on the first and third Saturday of each month. Farm-to-Table vendors are available along with arts and crafts and shopping inside Pik-Itz! Art & Antiques.

7/23 – HWY 87 Krafty Kids’ Expo

1900 Highway 87. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children from across the Navarre area invited to get a taste of entrepreneurship at the inaugural Highway 87 Krafty Kids’ Expo. This event will provide a safe space for kids to try their hand at running a business. The marketplace will showcase up to 25 businesses, offering everything from jewelry to food and snacks. Last saturday of every month – Trash Bash with the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center

Located at the main Navarre Beach parking lot near Sand Crab Pavilion from 8 to 10 a.m. Help protect sea turtles and other imperiled species through a citizen science program that allows volunteers to take an active role in the war against marine debris. Volunteers collect trash from different areas along the 4.5 miles of Navarre Beach and record data that is forwarded to state and federal agencies. Meet in the main Navarre Beach Parking Lot near the Sand Crab Pavilion. A limited supplies of gloves, buckets and pickers are provided, or bring your own. Saturdays – Navarre Garden Club’s Green Thumb

The Green Thumb Nursery on Hwy 399 just west of Hwy 87 is open every Saturday from 10-2. The nursery offers a wide variety of trees, shrubs, annuals & perennials. You will also find houseplants, succulents, native plants, pollinator plants etc. Most plants are coming from members’ yards. Since they have been grown here, you know that they will thrive in your yard. The site also hosts the club’s craft sales shop. Various crafts and yard art, made by club members, are offered for sale. Visit display gardens and shop their nursery and crafts. Members are happy to offer information and advice to help you achieve the look you want in your garden. Saturdays – Navarre Genealogy Study Group

The Navarre Genealogy Study Group meets every Saturday at 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Zoom for discussions on all topics related to genealogy research: from analyzing records to using DNA to identify ancestors.
