It’s a great time to be driving around, with so many local churches and organizations selling pumpkins to brighten up the season.

When I was a child, we thought we were being creative when we left a tooth or two in our pumpkin’s crooked carved grin. The eyes and nose were triangles. The slippery goo in the middle turned my stomach a little bit.

Updated: The National Weather Service has issued a High Surf Advisory along the entire coast overnight into Thursday. The highest surf is expected along the western Florida panhandle. High surf conditions are expected to persist through Friday afternoon before subsiding Friday night. A high risk of rip currents begins tonight and will persist through Friday night.
