County reports itself to county for site erosion

The Board of County Commissioners approved spending $64,000 more on Navarre Park renovations in order to prevent future erosion. High waves during a recent severe weather event caused some erosion around a pipe. More rip rap has been added to the design. County officials said no fill left the site during the erosion event, but a small amount of sand did get into the Santa Rosa Sound. The county reported the incident to the county.
