A 24-year-old Gulf Breeze man was killed early Friday morning by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene. The accident happened at 4:22 a.m. on East Bay Boulevard near Zilla Street. The young man was in the road when he was struck and killed. Anyone with information about this crash is being asked to dial *FHP on a cell phone.
A 17-year-old Gulf Breeze teen has been cited for a Tuesday morning accident that tied up traffic on U.S. Highway 98 in the Tiger Point area.
The boy turned right from Central Parkway onto the highway, failing to notice a loaded dump truck in that lane. The truck driver, a 47-year-old man from Milton, tried to avoid hitting the teen’s vehicle, but struck the car anyway before overturning.
