Navarre Rotary to host Pancake Breakfast Oct. 21

The Rotary Club of Navarre will host their annual pancake breakfast fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 21, at Samurai Japanese Steakhouse in Navarre. The breakfast, which runs from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., will raise money for Navarre Youth Programs, which include Navarre Rotary’s Navarre High School Scholarship Program that awarded eight $1,000 scholarships in May 2022 and over $125,000 in scholarships since 1995.

A lot on line for Navarre, Pace in district showdown

The official rivalry games for Navarre and Pace are next week when the Raiders take on Gulf Breeze and the Patriots battle Milton.

But the game that might carry the most weight is Friday night when Navarre and Pace square off with the District 1-4S title and automatic berth to the playoffs on the line.

Another milestone win for Navarre’s Jay Walls

Jay Walls won his 100th game as the head coach of the Navarre Raider football team Friday night.

He got that milestone victory in impressive fashion as the Raiders rolled past District 1-4S foe Milton 51-14 at Hurley Manning Field.

District volleyball tournament brackets are set

It’s district tournament time for area volleyball teams.

Things get started Monday with a pair of games as Milton (8-16) travels to Tate (17-7) in the District 1-6A tourney while Central plays host to Laurel Hill in District 1-1A play.
