Tough night at Mosley for Navarre Raider football team

Josh Wilson wanted to be back on the field two weeks ago for Navarre’s home opener but wasn’t quite in the clear from the concussion he suffered in Navarre’s week one game.

With a bye week buying him some extra time to get healthy, the senior standout was back at it Thursday night for the Raiders’ road game against Mosley.

Northwest Florida has quite the (mini) golf history

If you’ve lived on the Emerald Coast long enough, chances are you’ve seen, or played, at least one of the many mini-golf courses. While there are plenty of places to “putt your stuff,” very few have the nostalgic charm or uniqueness of the “Goofy Golf” courses.

A Coral Door Christmas

Out and About

This past week we heard of the passing of Navarre icon Tommy Cox – the owner of Tommy’s Sno-balls. For decades, on any given day in the warm months, you would see carloads of people enjoying the cold treats at the foot of Navarre Beach bridge. During the school year he would reward honor roll students with a free sno-ball, he hired high school students to work the stand and learn about business and customer service, he volunteered his time with the Navarre Youth Sports Association, and there is story after story of how he impacted lives across our area. We are thankful he was part of our community – or maybe we were part of his. Either way, he will be missed – a lot. You can read more about Tommy’s life on page 2A.
