Bagdad’s Love’s Travel Stop adding RV pads for overnight parking

The Love’s Travel Stop at I-10 Exit 26 near Bagdad is adding a place for RV owners to park their vehicles overnight. The truck stop and gas station is located at 3840 Garcon Point Road.

According to plans submitted to Santa Rosa County Development Services, Love’s corporate is looking to add four designated RV sites, which will include an expansion of 6,000 square feet of additional asphalt.

Holley Navarre Water System moving forward with bad debt collection inquiry

Holley Navarre Water System board of directors approved a plan to send out Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to a handful of qualified companies for the purpose of bad debt service solicitations.

Since October, the board has repeatedly inquired about pursuing the outstanding debt of current and former customers through a collection agency. The board instructed staff to solicit information from debt collection agencies to give the board a better understanding of process.

Emerald Coast lifeguards come to Navarre Beach to develop skills, train

Most days, jumping off the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier isn’t a welcomed sight. Monday, Feb. 16, wasn’t one of those days.

The Navarre Beach Lifeguards hosted a lifeguard development course, which is meant to help foster water safety, rescue skills and beach safety knowledge in current lifeguards. The Emerald Coast Lifesaving Association, a nonprofit focused on lifeguard training in Northwest Florida, is the organization behind the event.

Raider baseball team notches much-needed win

After a tough start to the season, the Navarre Raider baseball team notched its first win on Tuesday, beating Milton 3-2 thanks to a walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning by Jacob McDonald.
