More than 600,000. That’s how many people go missing in the United States each year, according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons (NamUS) database.
While most of those missing persons are recovered, either dead or alive, (89 to 92 percent according to NamUS) there are still plenty of people who remain missing for years. One such missing person is Tiffany Daniels, a then 25 year old woman from the Pensacola area.

One Saturday morning a few weeks ago, I received a notification from Facebook that my paid ad was now approved and running. I had posted a paid ad for COMPASS Church where I am pastor, but that ad had been running for several days.

The main suspect in the death of Cassie Carli, a Navarre woman and mother, has been indicted in St. Clair County (Ala.).
Marcus Spanevelo, 35, was set to appear in court Tues., Dec. 6 for a preliminary hearing but the hearing was canceled.

I’m not always the sharpest technological pencil in the pack, so it took me a while to catch on to the fact that the ads appearing on my Facebook newsfeed were not just randomly things I liked. Like a long while. Years, in fact.
I just thought of it as one of the little miracles of life that the ads that I saw were often for things I actually sought or had thought of buying.
