Raider cross-country team ends season at district meet

Athena Hicks and Gavin Anthony had the best times among the Navarre Raider runners at the District 1-4A meet Thursday morning at Bartram Trail.

Hicks was the top runner among the girls with a time of 22:11.60 and placed 70th overall.

Athena Hicks wasn’t sure how well things would go for her at Saturday’s EscaRosa Meet on the campus of the University of West Florida.

With the sand, the woods and even hills, the course was going to be anything but easy for Hicks and her Navarre Raider teammates.
