Santa Rosa receives $2.6 million in School Recognition Funding

On Oct. 17, Governor Ron DeSantis awarded more than $200 million in awards through the School Recognition Program. Santa Rosa County District Schools is pleased to be the recipient of $2.6 million in recognition funds. The School Recognition Program recognizes the high quality of many of Florida’s public schools. As authorized in Section 1008.36, the program provides greater autonomy and financial awards to schools that demonstrate sustained or significantly improved student performance.

Cool cars, kids and cookoffs

It was a busy weekend in Navarre.

Several community events took place this past Saturday, including a car show, a cookoff and a children’s event at the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center.
