Town hall confirms on-time bridge repairs

As all of us know, the Pensacola Bay Bridge is still closed and the businesses surrounding the bridge are suffering.

Pensacola City Council President Jared Moore and State Representative Alex Andrade hosted a Pensacola Town Hall Meeting at Bayview Community Center Jan. 28 to discuss infrastructure projects in Pensacola. Residents brought their concerns to the table and voiced their opinions for their community. A main talking point was the status of repairs to the Pensacola Bay Bridge.

Raiders rule the region again

Navarre’s girls weightlifting team continues its dominance of the region, winning its 14th consecutive championship Friday at Oak Leaf High School in Orange Park.

The Raiders claimed the trophy on the strength of a performance that featured four regional champs.

Inspired defensive effort propels Raiders to victory

Alyssa Herrick didn’t have to chase down the loose ball that was slowly rolling down the court in the final minutes of last Monday night’s game against Jay.

Navarre was up by more than 30 points. The only thing left to be decided was the final score.

Study shores up school impact fees

Santa Rosa County School District’s impact fees are justified.

That was the finding of a new study into the legally contested fees on new construction presented to the school board Jan. 19.
