Florida House Bill 385 passed the chamber’s Judiciary Committee on Monday, Jan. 8. Its sponsor, State Rep. Joel Rudman said he expect the whole House to vote on the measure Wednesday.

Unlikely journey leads D’Anthony Bell to the NFL

D’Anthony Bell recalls a story his mom told him when he was a child. Bell was just starting out in school and was asked by a teacher what he wanted to be when he grew up.

“It’s actually a funny story. I had never watched football before. I think I was in Pre-K and I was asked what I wanted to be, and I said NFL player,” Bell said. “It turned out to be a dream come true.”

At the end of Clearview St. on Garcon Point, you’ll find a gated, 30-acre property with some interesting inhabitants. The property is home to eight horses, a donkey and a litany of pigs. The people who look after these animals, mostly volunteers, are there not only for the animals but for visitors.
