New grant money awarded to VisitFlorida for ‘adventure’ tourism

The Triumph Gulf Coast Board has unanimously approved a grant of $10.5 million to VISIT FLORIDA, that will benefit all eight counties impacted by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The Santa Rosa Tourist Development Office (TDO) will see some of these funds, according to TDO director Julie White.

Heroes on the Water

They are part of an organization known as Heroes on the Water; a nonprofit founded in 2007 to provide recreational wellness experiences to those who have served.
