There was a different kind of energy among the Navarre boys basketball players as they dominated from start to finish in a 77-41 season-opening win over Pine Forest Tuesday night at home.


And you could sense that energy in the stands too, especially in the raucous student section, which was hyped up cheering on the home team as a new era of Raider hoops got rolling.

One thing Navarre’s girls basketball head coach Abby Fogg liked about the way her team played in the preseason this week at Pace was the way the team maintained energy and tempo no matter the lineup.

Navarre’s boys basketball team had a chance to showcase what it has against an actual opponent this week, playing L.E.A.D. Academy on Tuesday at Pace.
