Evans will serve as the managing editor for three publications, Crestview News Bulletin, Santa Rosa Press Gazette and Navarre Press. While he will be present in all our locations, his home base will be the Milton office on Commerce Rd.

Navarre Press owner and partner acquire Milton, Crestview papers

Effective January 2022, the Santa Rosa Press Gazette in Milton and the Crestview News Bulletin in Crestview are under new ownership.

Through a partnership between Sandi Kemp of Navarre Press and Todd Neves of Neves Media, the two papers will be two separate companies operated effectively immediately as a weekly print edition and a daily online website. Kemp, who founded Navarre Press more than 20 years ago, said the newspapers will focus on sharing local news, sports and feature coverage news important to each community.

Meet Archer, the service dog who works at Navarre Press

On my first day at Navarre Press in 2020, I met Archer, along with all of my other coworkers.

Archer, a Labrador mix, is a working dog who spends most of his days dozing on a bed behind bookkeeper Bethany Stafford’s desk. He dreams and twitches. Sometimes you can hear his tail beat the floor. On what is a “bad dog” day for the working boy, he hopefully approaches a coworker wanting to “make a friend.”

Bear cruises by Navarre Press, Dollar General

Navarre Press continues winning streak

Like Tom Brady moving from the AFC to the NFC and still finding a way to win the Super Bowl, the Navarre Press moved into a higher division at the Florida Press Association Weekly Newspaper Contest and didn’t miss a beat.

To the Editor, Navarre Press,

Many residents living in Northwest Florida are not aware that Pensacola Beach was once for “whites only.” At that time among the few beaches accessible to African-Americans was what is now known as Johnson Beach at Perdido Key. Since 1973, it has officially been called the Gulf Islands National Seashore. And yet Rosamond Johnson Beach has retained its name and for good reason.
