A day that resonates

Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas – By looking at him you wouldn’t know it, but Tech Sgt. Trevor Brewer, 72nd Security Forces Squadron flight chief at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, has deep scars from a day that took the lives of two fellow Airmen and severely wounded two others. His wounds are invisible. He has post-traumatic stress disorder from a terrorist attack many may have heard news reports about and forgotten. But, Brewer has not forgotten that day … he relives those moments constantly.

Out and About

Run With It in Fort Walton Beach is celebrating 10 years in business.  For those of you who may not know, Run With It started in Navarre at the Publix shopping plaza. They had an opportunity for more space and moved to downtown Fort Walton Beach and have kept growing. They are the best place to buy running or walking shoes and accessories. They also have awesome fitness clothes.  I bought a pair of running shoes there and my daughter took them – never to be seen again until it was time to replace them after several marathons. I still exercise in a pair of shoes that I bought there – when they were still in Navarre. However, I don’t run marathons – so they have lasted.  Run With It will celebrate their anniversary at the store on September 29th with sales, food and beverages.

Those who watch these things closely tend to worry that voters will feel overwhelmed, and simply vote no on everything, or leave them all blank, and this isn’t an unreasonable fear.
