But the U.S. Supreme Court dealt a major blow to Franklin County’s crippled oyster industry this week, siding with Georgia in a years-long legal “water war” over the river system that flows into the Florida estuary where the tasty tidbits have spawned for centuries.

Navarre Beach sees big crowds, doubles guard staff

In the first three months of 2021, Navarre Beach lifeguards have already rescued more people than they did all last year.

That number is 48 and rising.  

The high number of swimmers in trouble combined with extremely busy beaches led to a request for additional funding to double the number of lifeguards on the beach.

Jesus Christ obituary

Jesus Christ, 33, of Nazareth, died Friday on Mount Calvary, also known as Golgotha, the place of the skull. Betrayed by the apostle Judas, Jesus was crucified by the Romans by order of the governor Pontius Pilate. The causes of death were crucifixion, extreme exhaustion, loss of blood, and a broken heart.
