Panhandle Animal Welfare Society adopted out many cats and dogs during their Empty the Shelter event. The event waived all adoption fees and formal applications were not required from March 3 through 15.

A proposal to allow an RV park in Milton was met with opposition by community members at the Santa Rosa County Zoning Board March 11.
