A consular team from the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington DC, led by Consul Sart Chaivoraphorn, organized a mobile consular service at Wat Florida Buddharam in Navarre for Thai people living in northwest Florida. Chaivoraphorn and his team visited the area Aug. 18 to 20.

Maintaining democracy depends to a great degree on citizens understanding how it works. Unfortunately, too many in Santa Rosa County don’t.

Some people believe the First Amendment protects their “right” to speak on any topic they want, for as long as they want, as often as they want, with that “right” extended to rebutting any reply to their original rant.

Stingrays win season opener

Lighthouse Private Christian Academy won only one game last season. The Stingrays have already matched that win total in 2023.

They picked up that victory Aug. 25 with an 8-6 win over All Saints Academy at home. Anton Johnson rushed for the game-winning score in the fourth quarter.
