Operation Dry Water weekend takes place July 4 to 6. The national weekend of Boating Under the Influence detection and enforcement is aimed at reducing the number of alcohol- and drug-related boating incidents and fatalities. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and other participating law enforcement agencies will work together to make Florida waterways safer by identifying and removing dangerous or impaired vessel operators.

Tallahassee – The Biden administration is moving forward with a proposal that would require heat protections for workers across the country, after Gov. Ron DeSantis this spring signed a controversial law barring Florida local governments from imposing such requirements on businesses.

Lee Jones glad to be back home and coaching football with Navarre Raiders

With the heat index, it’s probably feels like it’s at least 100 degrees on a late June morning in Navarre. Lee Jones is encouraging Raider players as they run sprints and navigate their way through weave drills on a sun-baked practice field.


It’s one of those days where Jones, a former Navarre Raider standout, is thankful he’s now a coach instead of an athlete.
