Tallahassee – Praised by retailers, derided as a gimmick by critics, Florida on August 1 will start a month-long sales-tax “holiday” for back-to-school shoppers, along with eliminating sales taxes on other types of items.

The former home of Miss Donna’s Southern Belle Auctions is now La Sala Event Center.

Located at 3352 Highway 87 S in Holley, La Sala Event Center will serve as a venue for a variety of events including wedding receptions, corporate retreats, community gatherings, live music and comedy shows, movie nights, dog and pet events and car shows.

STOA Architects, Inc. shared updates on the Navarre Beach Boardwalk Project and new Navarre Beach welcome center with the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners during their biweekly commission committee meeting July 21. The project and plans presented to the board feature an elevated beach walkway, a main boardwalk complex with spaces for around eight vendors or local artisans, a food truck plaza and an open pavilion.

Quentin Randolph puts his name in Vegas Knight Hawks record book

Quentin Randolph is having the time of his life this season with the Vegas Knight Hawks. And that fun is translating to success on the field for the former Navarre Raider.

He ramped that success up to another level on Saturday night, breaking the franchise record for touchdown catches in a season in the final game of the regular season.

Raiders rolling in right direction as preseason camp set to begin

Since early June Navarre’s football team has been on the field and in the weight room, dialed in on being ready for the start of the 2025 season.

Now that summer workouts are history and fall camp is underway, the Raiders feel good about the way the past couple of months have gone.
