UWF softball team picked to finish in upper half of GSC
The University of West Florida softball team is picked to finish fourth in the Gulf South Conference this season.
The Argos went 33-16 a year ago and played in the NCAA Division II tournament.

There is a song called “Joy,” performed by pianist George Winston, which I can credit in part with the beginning of my true writing life.
After college, I had originally gotten into social work and, although I was an English major, had not yet discovered the magic of writing. This song, along with a powerful friendship with someone at that time, connected the two.

No one needs to remind the University of West Florida that today’s Gulf South Conference battle against West Alabama means a ton.
Conference title hopes, playoff implications and the opportunity to make another statement in a road game are all riding on the fourth-ranked Argos’ 1 p.m. showdown with the No. 21 Tigers in Livingston, Alabama.
