The threat of silencing
We’ve just celebrated Memorial Day. Flags galore saturated areas, TV, and events nationwide. God Bless the Boy and Girl Scouts, et al for placing flags at graves of men and women who gave their lives that we might enjoy freedom. A thrilling sight brings tears to my eyes every year!

Navarre Sign
Typical Robbie Williamson thinking. He goes to remove a public sign at 1 am WITHOUT any tools. Now that he admitted he did it Robbie should be charged with destruction of public property. When the new sign goes up and if someone doesn’t like it, according to Robbie, they can remove the sign. Can you picture Robbie stumbling around at night looking for tools?

Good afternoon,
As you all are aware, Commissioner Rob Williamson removed the temporary Navarre Beach entrance sign (Hwy 98/Navarre Beach Causeway) under the cover of night on May 25. After being interviewed by Channel 3 News, he recorded and posted online his justification for his actions. The following is a breakdown of those comments, in part, followed by my own thoughts. I have attached the audio so each of you can listen for yourselves, and so there can be no accusation that I inaccurately wrote what he said.

Lorance’s sentence must be commuted
Before leaving office President Obama commuted: (1) The sentence of traitor Bailey Manning. He leaked sensitive national security information putting our troops at risk. (2) The sentence of Puerto Rican nationalist Oscar Rivera, serving 50 years in prison for plotting to overthrow the U.S. Government, whose group killed 4 Americans in a New York City bombing in1975, and (3) pardoned and commuted the sentences of hundreds of criminal cocaine and heroin dealers. Many were outraged; I voiced mine!

Is anything absolute?
s there such a thing as “absolute”? The dictionary states that “good” and “evil” are “absolutes” when using the word as a noun. Mathematics is absolute because it historically has only offered true answers to correct equations that answer many of society’s and science’s questions. Religion and mythology are not absolutes because it requires faith for their existence. Mythology is aligned to a period of time when humans worshipped Gods of the land, sea and air. The Bible is a mixed book of religion, history and moral teachings but both are associated with the history of the advancement of man.

Thank you Gulf Breeze Zoo
This past weekend, my sister and I visited the Gulf Breeze Zoo. We had purchased two Military Adventure passes earlier in the year to use later on at our discretion due to our military related disabilities. You can imagine our shock and disbelief when we got to the Zoo and realized we had misplaced our passes to enter the Zoo. It was an extremely busy day at the Zoo and Venisa Stone was busy with another customer but immediately came over to assist us. She could see the anguish and disappointment on our faces as we had waited for this one day that we both were well enough to enjoy a day at the Zoo together and our passes were gone! Venisa so generously “Paid It Forward” by believing in us and allowing us entry when she didn’t have to. It ended up be a wonderful day at the Zoo and served to be very therapeutic for my sister and I. It was because of people like Venisa that make this community and the Zoo a great place! Thank you Venisa!!!

Thank you for reporting the truth
Congratulations and thank you for the very powerful reporting and factually accurate article on the health of our Sound today. All of my neighbors speak to their concerns over the smell of sewage in the sound on a constant basis and the negative effect it has on their homes and investment. They also speak consistently on these dangerous bacterial issues and the skin disorders their children suffer from going into the water. This article sounds the warning alarms to our community and I pray that they listen.
