Much like the rest of the Florida Panhandle last week, local lost and found pet pages and social media were flooded with posts of found cats and dogs that were separated from their homes as a result of the torrential flooding the area experienced.

Three companies are bringing more than 600 jobs to East Milton. Navy Federal Credit Union has leased property in Santa Rosa Industrial Park, where Gulf Cable has almost completed an expansion and Golding Gulf Distributors is breaking ground on a massive new facility.

Floodwaters do more than damage homes and businesses and make roads and streets look like ponds or rivers. The power of the rushing water can damage roads and also the utility lines under them.
