The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will issue a School Fishing Club Grant to 50 schools for the upcoming school year, two of which are in Santa Rosa County. The School Fishing Club Program is an annual educational grant program that teaches youth anglers about best fishing practices to help ensure the future of fishing in Florida.
There may be a new coffee shop opening in Tiger Point soon. According to documents sent to Santa Rosa County Development Services, 7Brew, a drive-thru coffee chain, is looking to set up shop in Santa Rosa County, although the project hasn’t been approved yet.

The Santa Rosa County School Board recently announced the appointment of six people to new positions at schools across the district. Five of the six positions are assistant principals at SS. Dixon Intermediate School, S.S. Dixon Primary, Sims Middle, Oriole Beach Elementary and East Bay K-8 School.
