High bell tones rang throughout Navarre Park Dec. 8. The joy on faces of children and adults alike was evident Friday morning as the Navarre Rotary Harmony Park project wrapped up and the eight Freenotes outdoor instruments were revealed and played for the first time. Harmony Park also consists of big blue sunshades help up by yellow pillars (Rotary International colors), benches for seating all atop a rubbery blue and yellow mat with a music note design.

Two life sentences for 2020 double homicide in Navarre

On December 5, 2023, Santa Rosa Circuit Court Judge Clifton Drake sentenced Courtney William Howell to two consecutive life sentences in prison in Florida’s Department of Corrections for two counts of Second Degree Murder. Courtney Howell had previously entered a guilty plea to the charges on September 8, 2023.

Navarre’s boys basketball team offered a glimpse of how dominant it can be in a 91-56 win over Pensacola Catholic Tuesday night at home.

The Raiders owned the second half against the Crusaders, blowing the game open by outscoring them 44-21 in the final two quarters.
