Fired up defensive effort propels Argos into final four

UWF student arrested for 30 counts of child pornography possession, says FDLE

A former Navarre High School and current University of West Florida student is behind bars after an investigation uncovered 30 files of obscene material, Florida Department of Law Enforcement said.

James Paul Tupas Roquelara, 21, of Pensacola, was arrested by FDLE on 30 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, and one count each of promoting a sexual performance of a child and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. All of which are felony charges.

State delegation to meet Tuesday in Gulf Breeze

The public is invited to address the Santa Rosa County state legislative delegation at a public hearing beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Gulf Breeze Community Center, 800 Shoreline Drive in Gulf Breeze.

The hearing is the only one scheduled in Santa Rosa County before lawmakers report to Tallahassee on Dec. 12 for interim committee meetings.

Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center has been helping conserve, educate, and research for the better part of two decades.

SRC Commission skips Calkins, names Wright chairman

In a break from tradition, the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners skipped the sitting vice chairman and named District 5 Commissioner Colten Wright chairman for the coming year.

Commissioner James Calkins, vice chairman for the board’s 2021-2022 term, presided over the first part of the commission’s organizational meeting Tuesday, Nov. 22.

The Vine Wine releases new fall menu

With cooler temperatures hitting the Gulf Coast, The Vine Wine Bar, Bistro and Shoppe has added a few autumn delights to their menu.
