Former Navarre soccer star Emily (Madril) Sams is part of an Orlando Pride team that is making history.


The Pride won their eighth consecutive game May 24, beating the Portland Thorns 2-1 to set a record for the longest win streak in NWSL history.

Spring football is out of the way and it’s time for summer workouts for the Navarre Raiders.


The Raiders will get rolling with those June 4, going three days a week through the end of the month before ramping up to four days a week in July.

The scoreboard said Pace 17, Navarre 7 after Monday night’s spring game in Pace, and first-year head coach Garrett Bagley is looking at that outcome a couple of different ways.


In no way is the game the only thing that matters when evaluating the last three weeks of spring football.

It’s different this season for the Raiders, who took 26 to the regional, the most since 2017.

Chants of ‘Let’s go offense and let’s go defense grow louder along the sideline as the Navarre Raiders run through plays, dust and dirt being kicked up on the practice field on a warm Monday afternoon.


There’s an added layer of energy enveloping the Raider football team this spring, and first-year head coach Garrett Bagley is doing his best to have his team capitalize on it.
