Emily (Madril) Sams has always wanted to win a gold medal at the Olympics. She no longer has to dream about it after the United States Women’s National Soccer team defeated Brazil 1-0 last Saturday at the Paris Olympics to claim the gold medal for the first time since 2012.

Dear Santa Rosa County School District, I saw some pictures of Pine Forest’s new track and it looks beautiful.


It’s a rubberized track that will be ready to go for the spring. I wish we could say the same for schools in this county when it comes to tracks in the area.

Set Free Foundation to host Designer Purse Bingo

Local non-profit Set Free Foundation is preparing for its first Designer Purse Bingo. It will be held Nov. 9, 2024, at the Gulf Breeze Recreation Center at 6 p.m. All funds raised will be used to pay for trauma therapy for survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
