Wilson was a state weightlifting champion for the first time, joining a select list of Navarre Raiders to achieve the feat.

Named for a physical education teacher and coach who lost his battle with cancer in 2022, the Sports Ability Games are designed to expand the field of opportunity for special needs students in athletics.

Those plays highlight the kind of defensive effort the Navarre Raider flag football team brings to the table and it was crucial for the Raiders in their 12-6 win over Fort Walton Beach on a chilly April night at Bennett C. Russell Stadium.
