St. Sylvester Catholic Church plans to build mausoleum

Big things are happening at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Navarre.
The church has submitted plans to Santa Rosa County to develop the northern part of their church property into a mausoleum with a series of crypts.

For the past year, even before the building was completed, Holley-Navarre Fire District Chief Kevin Lewis had concerns about their financial ability to staff Station 44 in Holley.
The Chief’s tune changed from worried to optimistic Monday night, Oct. 27, during a briefing he gave to HNFD’s commissioners.

Alligator hunting season in Florida began Aug. 15 at midnight. Within just a few hours, what will likely be one of the biggest gators of the season was caught on the Yellow River in Santa Rosa County.

PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support. Around half of Santa Rosa County public schools participate in the state program, which centers on creating a healthy learning environment for all through promotion of positive behavior and other behavior management techniques.
