Ferry service finally starts up in Pensacola Bay

As Pelican Perch made its way across the glistening water of Pensacola Bay Wednesday afternoon, with the view from the ferry boat second to none and the Blue Angels soaring high above in the blue sky–a bonus layer to this beautiful backdrop–Gulf Islands National Seashore Superintendent Dan Brown finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Grier ready to embrace opportunity with Navarre’s ROTC program

Timothy Grier is under a tent as the battle of the squads plays out at Navarre’s Navy Junior ROTC camp for the incoming class of cadets. The retired 1st Sgt. from the United States Marine Corps Is talking with Master Chief Jimmy Ethridge, who is set to retire officially  as an ROTC instructor next week.
