Deas remembered for his smile

Former Navarre track coach Mimi Surratt last saw Darnell Deas Jr. in March. It was at the FSU Relays in Tallahassee. Deas was a running back at Navarre in 2017 and competed in track as well that year, but he had since moved to the Jacksonville area and attended Fleming Island the second half of the year.

FWC active in its approach to dealing with alligator issues

Alligators are a part of Florida, and as their habitat is reduced because of development near water, more and more conflicts with humans arise. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is doing what it can to combat that problem and keep issues to a minimum.
