Here’s your answer: With the American flag being so near and dear to our hearts, some question it when they see altered versions of the flags commemorating law enforcement, the military or other organizations.

For example, at least one Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office vehicle has a flag image for its front license plate with one of the red or white lines being replaced by a thin blue line.

Deputies from Escambia and Santa Rosa county pursued a man Saturday evening who had outstanding felony warrants for his arrest. The pursuit took place, in part, on Interstate 10 in both counties. The Florida Highway Patrol briefly assisted with the pursuit. The driver was in a Kia hatchback, according to officials.

District 3 Commissioner James Calkins falsely claimed that Santa Rosa County is the only county in Florida that does not participate in the Guardian Program.

It is entirely possible that, because of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, some of Santa Rosa County’s stormwater problems could be fixed. Time will tell.
