We just wrapped up the 9th annual fishing rodeo and we are already looking forward to next year which will be our ten-year anniversary of the rodeo.

UPDATE: Boil water notice lifted

Due to lightning striking a 10” water main this morning at the corner of Bob Tolbert Road and Forester Road, Holley-Navarre Water System is issuing a precautionary boil water notice for residents affected by the outage.

Affected Holley residents include those located from Bob Tolbert Road at Holley Ball Field, up to and including Natalie Lane to Levi Street and Ginger Lane. Forester Road from Bob Tolbert Rd eastward to Wells Beach Road is also included.

Info sought about driver in fatal hit and run

The Florida Highway Patrol is hoping someone will come forward with information about a fatal accident on East Bay Boulevard that happened early on Oct. 1.

A 24-year-old Gulf Breeze man was killed by a vehicle that left the scene of the accident. The victim was walking in the eastbound travel lane when he was struck and killed. The accident happened just west of Zilla Street, according to FHP.

Museum savors memories of trains gone by

Tucked into an old neighborhood along a railroad, the West Florida Railroad Museum honors a world connected by rail. The museum – the former Milton depot built more than 100 years ago – is maintained by about 10 volunteers who wish there were a lot more.
