Navarre United Methodist Church is used to hosting speakers and the occasional Christian band, but they don’t usually have rising stars in country music stop by.

On Mar. 25, the church’s sanctuary will be the stage for Jessie Ritter.

SOF Missions hosting gala to support veterans in need

The gala is open to both community members and business owners looking to make a difference in the lives of at-risk veterans.

Commissioners consider 545 acres in Navarre for conservation

Santa Rosa County District 4 commissioner Dave Piech is putting forth a plan to fellow commissioners Monday at the committee meeting to put 545 acres of natural land in Navarre into conservation in perpetuity. Two of the three parcels back up to the Eglin reservation, providing a buffer from the military base and the third backs up to the Navarre soccer complex.

Cheyenne Beasley did her best to deal with the physicality of an early-season showdown with Fort Walton Beach Wednesday night at Bennett C. Russell Stadium.

Visibly showing her frustration at times, Beasley kept getting up and going after it, doing what she could to help Navarre come out with a win.
