That original meal, which the two peoples enjoyed in 1621, lives on to this day as holiday millions share in the United States.

Woodlawn Beach Middle competes in robotics competition

For six weeks during September, October, and November, Woodlawn Beach Middle School students met regularly to work on a project.

While students working on a project at school might not be a surprise, these students weren’t just putting together a paper mache globe. They were building a robot.

Kindergarten is where Kim Wiggins’ heart is as a teacher

Kim Wiggins’ grandfather was a long-time school superintendent in Escambia County. Her grandmother taught Kindergarten. Her dad and aunt were also teachers at one time.

Defensive back De’Mareyae Givens hadn’t forgotten the pain of last season’s gut-wrenching ending to the season. The University of West Florida Argonauts lost to Newberry in their first ever home playoff game, which was played at Blue Wahoos Stadium.

Chase Jennings caps senior year with trip to state swim meet

Chase Jennings couldn’t help but be overwhelmed by nerves as he prepared to compete in the prelims of the 3A state swim meet in Stuart earlier this month.

Of course, those nerves were understandable, especially with this being the Navarre senior standout’s first time ever competing at state.

Raider boys basketball team optimistic about season ahead

Terry Posey liked what he saw from his team against Milton last Wednesday night in a preseason tip-off tournament at Pace.

Certainly, everything isn’t perfect and most of the players on the team are new to varsity, but live action can’t be duplicated, and the Raiders took advantage of it in a 58-55 win.
