I just returned from an enjoyable trip to Italy. I was struck by the lack of homeless people and beggars as compared to our country. I did encounter a few homeless people but not like it is here at home. The opposite used to be true.

County approves plans for Residence Inn at foot of Navarre Beach bridge

Tommy’s Sno Balls in Navarre is about to get a new neighbor.

On Oct. 18, Santa Rosa County Development Services approved a development order for a new hotel on the southside of Highway 98, just east of the foot of the Navarre Beach Causeway. The new hotel, which is a Residence Inn by Marriott, will be four stories tall, 88,110 square feet and have approximately 105 rooms, according to current plans. The address is 8600 Navarre Parkway.

Holley Navarre Primary’s Whitman ‘STEAM’ driven
