Boat safely this Fourth of July by boating sober

Operation Dry Water weekend takes place July 4 to 6. The national weekend of Boating Under the Influence detection and enforcement is aimed at reducing the number of alcohol- and drug-related boating incidents and fatalities. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and other participating law enforcement agencies will work together to make Florida waterways safer by identifying and removing dangerous or impaired vessel operators.

Some athletes are clear-cut, no doubt about it Division I type of athletes. You look at one of them and you are like ‘that kid is going to be big-time special at a place like Alabama, Florida State, LSU or Georgia.’


I’ve seen a handful of those athletes over the years.
