Connor Mathews leads way for runner-up Raiders at state weightlifting meet

Connor Mathews held his final clean and jerk lift just long enough for it to count, stumbling backwards on the platform but keeping his balance as he fought to avoid passing out.

Surrounded by a couple of fellow lifters, and his coach, Garrett Bagley, Mathews crouched down on the floor, overcome with emotion.

DeSantis ok’s chaplains in schools

Hurlburt says Hwy 98 traffic is national security worry

Officials at Hurlburt Field’s 1 SOW are concerned about a mission delay for crisis response because of the heavy traffic on Hwy. 98.

Col. Wood from Hurlburt addressed the board of the Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization saying, “We are part of the problem, and we want to be part of the solution (to traffic problems on Hwy 98).”
