A new report from AAA says that Northwest Florida has some of the least expensive gas prices in the sunshine state.
According to the report, Crestview-Fort Walton Beach at $2.89, Pensacola and Panama City, each at $2.92, were the least expensive metro markets in the state.
Overall, Florida gas prices declined 12 cents per gallon last week. The state average is now on a 31 day streak of declines, falling a total of 41 cents per gallon.
My wife has an endearing habit that I am gradually making my own.

With the school year in full swing, teachers of the year have been announced. At Holley Navarre Intermediate, the teacher of the year is fifth grade teacher Brandy Brewer.
She found out that her peers voted to give her this award on Oct. 4.
The Tourist Development Office, which is responsible for promoting tourism throughout Santa Rosa County, gave an overview of their campaign to bring more tourists from the Nashville area of Tennessee to Northwest Florida at the Nov. 3 Tourist Development Council meeting.
In July, Julie White, the tourist development director for Santa Rosa County, and her team went to a Nashville event to introduce Navarre Beach to a new audience. They had a special vacation giveaway in which people could enter to win a trip to the beach.
It was Halloween, she was leaving work, and her commute would take her past several grocery stores. I considered last year’s brisk trick-or-treat traffic and replied, “You should pick up another bag.”
