The Navarre Beach Lifeguards recently celebrated the end of the fourth year of the Junior Lifeguard program. Throughout this summer, the Junior Lifeguard program saw 90 people, ages nine to 15, come to the beach for lessons on water safety, surfing skills and first aid.

The Book of Acts describes an encounter between Phillip, a newly minted deacon, and an Ethiopian court official, who was sitting in a chariot reading Isaiah 53. The Spirit of God directed Phillip to ask him if he understood what he was reading. “How can I, unless someone guides me? The Santa Rosa County Library System, with the help of the grants department, has been awarded a $100,000 grant to be used for a digital literacy program by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), Office of Broadband under the Digital Connectivity Program. The program will include the purchase of laptops for patron use and for a mobile computer lab.
