Set Free Foundation to host Designer Purse Bingo

Local non-profit Set Free Foundation is preparing for its first Designer Purse Bingo. It will be held Nov. 9, 2024, at the Gulf Breeze Recreation Center at 6 p.m. All funds raised will be used to pay for trauma therapy for survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Attendees will have the chance to win a purse playing bingo or any of the 10 raffle games. There will also be a door prize winner and you don’t want to miss out on the door prize! For God’s Sake: Olympic ceremony

Unless you just fell off the proverbial turnip truck, you are aware of the controversy surrounding the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Thomas Jolly, the artistic director, presented a tableau of DaVinci’s Last Supper that featured drag queens and dancers in the role of the apostles, and DJ Barbara Butch, an LGBTQ+ icon, playing the Christ figure.
