Air Force Reminds Commanders: Authorized Conceal-Carry, Open-Carry OK on Base

The attack last July on a recruiting office in Tennessee has prompted the Air Force to remind commanders they may authorize qualified airmen to carry weapons on base while off duty and out of uniform.
The Air Force on Wednesday said its review of “active-shooter incidents across the country” found that many ended without police intervention because someone present with a weapon stopped the shooter.

Conjunctivitis, sometimes known as pink eye, is an inflammation of the thin layer of tissue that lines the eyeball and the inside of the eyelid. This layer, called the conjunctiva, produces moisture and antibodies that reduce infection. Infection of this layer leads to nasty symptoms such as redness, itching and discharge from the eyes. Another common problem is sensitivity to light and blurred vision.

Justin Deese, owner of Rooter Man in Navarre, has been selected as the new Holley-Navarre Fire District commissioner for Seat 4. Deese will serve out the remainder of the term William Painter vacated in October. The seat will be added to the ballot in the general election in November.
