The lawsuit filed last week by Scott Rayner against Stephanie Maddox, his partner in the company that manages the Navarre Beach Pier, has prompted Maddox to form a separate business and has asked for a review of their split by county officials.

A group of women in Navarre are gearing up for a new 5K race set for April 1. They meet twice a week together at the path on Navarre Beach and also run on their own twice a week, staying accountable through a Facebook group. The plan started with 15 minutes of alternating between jogging and walking and will work the group all the way up, over 12 weeks, to accomplishing a 5 mile run.
