Kayla Stanford, a teacher at Holley Navarre Intermediate School and Santa Rosa County’s 2026 Teacher of the Year, has been selected as the statewide recipient of the 2025 “Invested in Excellence” Award, presented by the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations and Florida Power & Light Company.

Sandollar condo on Gulf Boulevard demolished

The Sandollar condominiums on Navarre Beach is no more.

The 40-year-old structure, located at 7885 Gulf Blvd., was demolished over a period of several days starting Wednesday, Aug. 6. The Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners approved the demolition of the beachfront condominium April 24.

It’s Kickoff Classic time for the Navarre Raider football team

Navarre will take on Pensacola Friday in a Kickoff Classic at 7:30 p.m. at Bennett C. Russell Stadium.

Mormon church teams up with Manna Food Pantry to help families in Escambia, Santa Rosa counties

Manna recently received a significant donation of nearly 36,000 pounds of food and supplies from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, providing the equivalent of 42,428 healthy meals to families in need in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. The contribution included several nonperishable food items such as rice, beans, pasta, and fruit.

Raider swim team has strong bond, working to reach full potential

Though the sun has barely been an up for an hour, Navarre’s swim team is hard at work in the pool at the Pullum YMCA, gearing up for the season ahead.

With nearly 40 on the roster, there are a lot of new faces, but also some familiar ones. Fifteen of the swimmers are seniors.

Vance feeling good as pitcher now that he’s put injury behind him

Colton Vance threw a bullpen session at the end of June and thought it went really well.

It was a welcome feeling for the Navarre Raider junior after battling an injury earlier this year that kept him from being at his best during the high school season.
