Judge orders steps to aid manatees

Tallahassee – A federal judge Monday ordered the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to take a series of steps aimed at protecting manatees in the northern Indian River Lagoon, including requiring it to go through a federal permitting process and temporarily preventing new septic tanks in the area.

Holley Navarre Water System will auction three Ford F-150 trucks Tuesday, May 20.

The auction begins at 5 p.m. and will be followed by the monthly meeting of the Holley Navarre Water System Board of Directors at 6 p.m. Truck viewing begins at 7 a.m. at the HNWS warehouse, located across from the main office at 8574 Turkey Bluff Road.
