Owners of the Garcon Point Bridge plan to increase the toll on 3.5-mile span from $3.75 each way to $5 for most users, according to Florida House District 3 Rep. Doug Broxson who last week spoke with the attorneys representing the owners.

If we wanted big box stores, chain department stores and shopping malls we would have moved to Destin, Fort Walton or maybe Pensacola. Navarre is a nice community where you can enjoy a walk on the beach, snorkeling and fishing, music in the park, the turtles, and great small boutique shopping.
