Less than a week after learning Jackie Coyne had stepped down unexpectedly as the head coach, Navarre’s girls basketball team went out Monday night and put forth every ounce of effort it had in a 39-36 loss to county rival Pace.
Monique Fred was on a competitive JV cheer team a year ago and so it’s no surprise the Navarre senior jumped at the chance to be on a competitive squad at the varsity level this year.
