The Navarre Garden Club will host Santa’s Workshop craft fair at the Navarre Conference Center this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be art, crafts, gifts and baked goods.

People are predictable. When they have something to hide, they immediately start to withhold information. If people lived their lives in such a way that they didn’t have to look over their shoulders – then they wouldn’t have to worry about what people know and don’t know. And, if people who know there are secretive things going on would bring it to light – then justice can be served. And justice is a good thing.

The Friends of the Navarre Library will be having a book sale today – Thursday (members only) and Friday (open to public) to benefit the Navarre Library programs.

At first, I thought it is too much money for landscaping the median but I strongly think it should be done all down Highway 98 as it takes away the feeling that you are on an interstate with a lot of interruptions. I think it will reduce the number of accidents.
Polling snafu costs woman her vote
After watching Florida’s role in the 2000 presidential election, we had hoped such nonsense was behind us.

I am writing concerning the election in our area for School Board member in District 3 of SRC. I have known one of the candidates for close to 15 years and am writing because I’ve often wished for a bit of personal insight when an important election was upcoming – and in this case, I very much wish that others could know this candidate as I do.

Start you kids’ trick-or-treating right here at Navarre Press on Halloween. We will have candy and giveaways from 2 to 5 p.m. We’ll be taking photos and you might just end up being featured in our next issue.
Hurting their constituents
We never understand why certain politicians refuse to deal with the press. Do they believe their “No comment” will prevent the story from running? It won’t. Or do they think that ignoring us will teach us some kind of lesson? It won’t.
